Dr Eugene Lim was born in Penang, Malaysia before moving to Australia in 1983. He completed year 12 in Brisbane then onto to the University of Queensland finishing his MBBS in 1989.
He was an intern, resident and 1st year Radiology Registrar at Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital before finishing his Radiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. He worked as a Radiologist with Gold Coast Medical Imaging and Queensland X-ray Services before returning to the Royal Brisbane Hospital to train in Nuclear Medicine in 2001. Finishing his Nuclear Medicine training at Kings College Hospital in London then returning to Brisbane to commence work in 2004 where he spent most of his time as the Managing Radiologist at Pine Rivers Private Hospital in Strathpine.
Aside from Nuclear Medicine, he has a special interest in breast imaging where he has had extensive experience in diagnostic mammography and breast ultrasound. He is also highly skilled in ultrasound guided breast biopsies as well as both ultrasound and mammographic guided breast localisation.
